I Lost Tonight. Here is What I Learned.
Sunday August 27, 2023: I lost some money playing Connecticut tonight because I was SURE that a 4 would hit based on what I have been seeing lately. Below is the prediction I posted last night:

I was wrong. The digit 4 did NOT hit today.

But some good came out of it because I learned a few things:
1-When something seems too good to be true, it is. Pull back and ask yourself: “what if I lose?”
2-What is your Basic Bet? For me right now it’s $22.50 per play (I play all 54 numbers for a digit and I play the singles 2x). If something looks like a SURE thing (it never is in the lottery) only play it for 2x your Basic Bet. In other words, if I KNOW that a digit will hit, the MOST I can spend is 2x my basic bet or $45. That means that if things don’t play out how I thought they would, the MOST I could lose is $45 – NOT my entire account. This means that if you tend to play your numbers for 0.50 cents, the most you can spend on a “super-hot number” is twice that or $1.
3-Having a 2x maximum betting limit will prevent you from making stupid bets. It will prevent you from losing all your money playing a number (or set of numbers) that you were 100% sure would hit.
4-You should have at least 10X your Basic Bet in your account. This means that if my Basic Bet is $22.50, I should have at least $225 in my account.
5-Dont have too much money in your account….or else you will be tempted to bet it all on a “sure thing” that usually turns out NOT to be a sure thing after all.
6-The 6 MORE PLAYS RULE: Before putting 2x your Basic Bet on a number (or set of numbers), ask yourself this question: “if I lose this bet, can I make 6 more plays after this?” In other words, can you continue to play for 6 more days if you lose money on your bet? If your answer is NO (you cannot continue playing afterwards because you bet every penny in your account on a hot number), do NOT make that bet – or put less money on that number.
7-Having 10X your Basic Bet in your account will help you recover when the game turns against you.
8-Stick to your basic strategy and ONLY play the numbers from your basic strategy. In other words; Avoid “side bets”. I have been playing a few numbers “on the side” almost every day now for at least two weeks. I play these side numbers because they look promising. Guess what? NONE of them have hit. I would have been better off saving my money and not playing them at all. This is a hard rule to follow because some of these side numbers actually hit sometimes. But that’s like 1 out of 50 or 60. Avoiding side bets is a smart rule because 99% of these bets turn out to be losing bets.
