I have gotten a few emails lately from people asking me for strategies on how to hit singles.

Here is my response to one of those emails:

I have a system that hits virtually every day now.

Why are you wondering off and trying to work on doubles?

Singles hit 72% of the time; that is why I only focus on them.

While doubles only hit 27% of the time.

Instead of trying to hit numbers that hit only 27% of the time, I think its best to focus on what hits MOST of the time, singles (72%). 

I think this is the best use of your time.
